What a beautiful day it was in VT. Mid 70s, low humidity and sunny – OK, the farmers were spreading manure on the fields and that wasn’t very pleasant, but other than that it was beautiful.
We went down to the lakefront to hear Lauren play in the Burlington Concert Band. They play in a park overlooking the lake – a great spot to watch the sun set the night before the solstice. The band sounded great and played some wonderful tunes.
If you look closely at this photo and the one at the top, you can see that the breakfront is just peeking out of the water. We have had a lot of flooding this spring and the lake was at record high levels for a month and is just now starting to recede to normal levels.
I also love the different colors on the peaks across the lake in the Adirondacks in NY State.
Here are some additional pictures from the lake and sunset.
I hope all the fathers out there had a wonderful day. I know I did.
