Mercy, Mercy, Mercy

One of my passions is Jazz. I found on iTunes a great set of podcasts called Jazz Insights. They are done by Gordon Vernick, Associate Professor of Music at Georgia State University in Atlanta. If you are a lover of Jazz, you will enjoy listening to them.

I listened to a set of shows on Cannonball Adderly today. Cannonball was a famous alto sax player from the mid 50s to the 70s. During the 60s he recorded many great songs with catchy “hooks” like the song shown above – Mercy, Mercy, Mercy. As Gordon would say – check it out – from Cannonball’s introduction to the great playing. Enjoy

One quick note about last night’s rally. The Burlington Free Press sent a reporter and photographer and there was a picture and story on the front page. Here’s the link.
